Snowmobile areas are accessible in two locations. The first and most popular is 10 km up the Strathcona Parkway at the Rampart Hill Chain-up area. There is limited parking at the chain up area but room must be left for highway traffic to stop and do it's business. MOT will have vehicles obstructing traffic towed at owners expense.
ABacon Lake is located above the north shore of Upper Camppbell Lake. WORK IN PROGRESS

The Beauforts are accessible from both the East and West side of the Island On the East side enter Buckley Bay Main off highway 19 at the exit for the Denman Island Ferry.

Access is off the Cameron Mainline.
This is an alternate route to the Labour Day Lake/McLaughlin Ridge riding area for those living south of Nanaimo. If conditions allow snowmobile use on Nanaimo Lakes Mainline, riders must remain on the roadway while transiting the Elk Corridor. The McLaughlin Ridge trails resume on the NW side of Labour Day Lake. WORK IN PROGRESS
Two kilometers north of the Nanaimo Airport is Nanaimo Lakes Road.
